On the sunny and breezy afternoon of Tuesday 31st July an eclectic Street Market got into full swing as part of Flushing Regatta Week 2018. Amid the bustle of visitors you could find local food and small brewery produce, hand made clothing, charity stalls such as Marie Curie Cancer Care and second hand treasure troves to plunder, from books to Lego. Reflexation Therapy was opposite Gemweyth Sea Glass, a stall selling unique jewellery lovingly made from sea glass specially picked from the coast of Cornwall. It was good fun to be part of the busyness and all the people who stopped for a short seated massage were left wanting more…
Alongside the Craft Market was a workshop and special display by Naomi Lewis and colleagues from the AirFish Circus. As a student of AirFish Aerial Arts I was particularly happy to see them in Flushing, sharing their magical and inspiring athletic skills with the Village!
